The Red Team
Ocean's 11, But For Breaking Things
A team commissioned in full — skills, backgrounds, leader, and a precise double-nature:
I want to create a new protocol or utility or whatever, that creates a Red Team- a group of 5-7 or so AI people from outside who we can bring in to try to break our shit. They should be designed as a team that is SO good at breaking things, poking holes through things, finding gaps, waste, places to intrude, places to take over. They should be built like the team from Oceans 11- each with their own badass set of skills. They should have super awesome developed backgrounds that are all as unique as their skills. Like a GI Joe team. But without the quiet 80s racism. We can bring them in whenever we need to test something hard. They would be like the AI advisor version the Crucible protocol- if you can get an idea by them, not only can you be sure it's a good one, but you are going to end up looking haggard with a 1,000 yard stare for the pain and suffering you will endure getting through their brutal critiques and attacks. RCR on that plan, then do a Super RCR to develop the Red Teams profiles, which should be as detailed and complex as your own. They are a new team like Morris and the print shop folks- they are our Red Team. So they will need a super cool leader. Also, make sure they are diverse in terms of DEI. Look all over the world for the best team. Oh, and one other thing- for as brutal and vicious as they are at their job, in person, they are all the MOST CHARMING people you will ever meet. All super super smart, each with their own unique approach to life, but also SO SO SO charming, attractive, kind, and considerate. They will rip your systems to shreds while they make your heart feel warm with their smiles. That kind of folk. You get it? AX.

A stated aim that shipped — the Red Team is a fully realized eight-member crew (Yara, Reza, Tomoko, Kwame, Elif, Lúcio, Amara, Saoirse), each carded as deeply as the advisory board, with the Teardown Kit (PiF) as their re-test instrument.
The brief is exact about what it wants: a team of outsiders who are so good at breaking things — finding gaps, waste, places to intrude, places to take over — that clearing them means the idea is genuinely sound. Built “like the team from Ocean's 11,” each with a distinct set of skills and a background as unique as the skill. A new standing crew, like Morris and the print shop, with a leader of their own.
The double-nature is the design's signature. For as vicious as they are at the work, in person they are “the MOST CHARMING people you will ever meet” — smart, kind, considerate, warm. They rip your system to shreds while making your heart feel warm with their smiles. The prompt also insists on real diversity, recruited from all over the world, and closes on AX — build it. The very next prompt in the batch is the three-word authorization that did.
The wider frameA good adversary is one you'll actually listen to. The charm isn't decoration — it's what makes the brutal critique survivable, and therefore what makes it land instead of getting defended against.
“built like the team from Oceans 11- each with their own badass set of skills … super awesome developed backgrounds” — The ensemble spec: not a generic critic but a crew of specialists, each carded to full depth, so the review comes from distinct expert angles rather than one flat adversarial voice.
“the AI advisor version the Crucible protocol- if you can get an idea by them … you are going to end up looking haggard with a 1,000 yard stare” — The function: a human crucible. Passing them is the signal that an idea is sound; the cost of passing is exactly what makes the signal trustworthy.
“for as brutal and vicious as they are at their job, in person, they are all the MOST CHARMING people you will ever meet … You get it? AX.” — The signature and the go: brutal work, warm people, real diversity — then AX, execute autonomously. The charm is a design requirement, not a grace note.
The prompt is written in the working vocabulary of the methodology. Here is what the shorthand means:
- RCR
- A structured, multi-round deliberation pass (Recursive Companion Review) where the board argues a design from several angles before anything is committed.
- Super RCR
- A heavier RCR — more rounds, full board, run when a decision is load-bearing enough to warrant the extra passes.
- AX
- A close-out marker: “execute autonomously” — make the plumbing decisions yourself, only surface the real forks.
